That's a lovely bike Dave....well done mate. Been out spannering in my shed today (Triumph I'm afraid) but it's bleedin' freezing......my old bones are frizzed, but seeing your bike will inspire me to do a bit more work again tomorrow. Well done.......it's a credit to you......yer can't beat blingy chrome and shiny new paint !

An absolute peach, somehow I just prefer them in blue and I might just turn my red one blue. Anybody spot the stand lifting handle, one on each side maybe and great for shifting the bike about in the garage.

That handle is interesting as i only have one fitted to the near side. I'm not sure if they are meant to have one or 2 on the 400/4. It wouldn't make any difference if i had 2, i would still struggle to get it on the center stand 😭😭😭

Only 1 from memory Julie, to help lift bike onto centre stand

True Julie , i think by my reasoning if i had a handle both sides it wouldnt matter on which side i was to put it on stand , well thats the theory anyway  ;D ;D ;D

You have to be on the left as that's where the stand has it's foot lever.
Ken, you are so sensible, where would we be without you 😊😊😊

Not sure if you mean my black mongrel or the blue CB550/4 F2. What i would say though is whether you go for a 500 or a 550, parts are a lot more difficult to come by than for the 400/4. Sourcing parts can drive you slowly round the bend Dave.
Edit...or was it the gold 500/4 you liked 😀😀😀

well i liked them all and the gold 500/4 was the nuts but i was talking about your Black mongrel , it just had a look about it  if you know what i mean  ;D

I know exactly what you mean Dave, it's got a bit of a rebellious look to it.....one like that is easy to build.

Well done Dave, that's a great looking bike.  Whilst I hope the sun makes an appearance soon for you to get some miles on it, I also  hope you avoid the salty roads with all that shiny polished chrome !

Well done Dave, that looks absolutely stunning. One day I’ll have to turn my hand to a 400/4.

Top quality work there, well done. On the sourcing parts thing, don't forget each time someone finds a rare part that's one less. Eventually all the parts will dry up and all that's left then are the dreaded pattern parts. Then nobody will be doing quality work.

Nice job.  We just need to wait for the road salt to go and the nie weather.

No, to be honest although she looks good it was always my intention to ride her, plus all that polishing the shiny bits  every minute would tire me out . ;D ;D ;D
