I’m looking to adjust the tappets on my 750 four and my Clymer manual says remove the caps in the rocker cover and go from there. Only problem is the depth the tappets sit at don’t allow a normal feeler gauge in easily. Are there special bent end feeler gauges for this job? Obviously with the rocker cover off the job would be easier but I’m not sure it will come off in the frame?
All advice gratefully received and for those that replied on my carb balance item thanks again! Particular thanks to those that offered to lend me one – nice community

CB750 / CARB VACUM GUAGES/BALANCER - BEST ONES?
« on: May 23, 2018, 10:49:50 AM »
Hi, has anybody got good experience with a particular set of four carburettor vacuum gauges – my 750 is rattling like a goodun and from what I understand carb balance can be a primary cause. There are plenty of kits out there with varying reviews from £40 up to over £100 and a key issue seems to be finding gauges which are well damped and don’t flick all over the place.
Any advice gratefully received!

CB750 / REPLACING ROCKER COVER GASKET
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:38:19 PM »
I am seeing various opinions about being able to replace the rocker cover gasket on a 750 without taking the engine out of the frame. Does anyone have experience of this? Can it be done?

I would also like to check the head bolt tightness so if it can be done without the engine coming out that would be great!
