Some more progress, tank has been lined with a two pack liner and painted with a layer of clear, then the stripes applied. Will lacquer over in next few days and finish the side panels. Almost there!

Have you noticed lots of ebay ads from Germany for used parts at really stupid high prices? So ridiculous that surely no-one would buy them? 550 alternator cover £334, sump £92.45 master cyl also £92.45! if it was ultra rare stuff fair enough but just average used parts.

for future reference I ordered a cheaper rim for my 550 and it was #rap, rusty when it arrived so went straight back. Also for us amateurs better ones are easier to true up. I vote DID.

They are a different width where they fit in the recess in the airbox.

I too will be buying a set for lazarus, and have noticed Silvers lists 2 options, a bare set and one including the brackets, gaskets and rubber connectors for only £45 +vat so good value if you need the full lot. Assuming the exhausts are the same of course.

the problem with the lining process is flash rusting before I can dry the tank out to line it. will try today.
