CB750 / CB750K2-UK no such thing
« on: January 29, 2016, 09:27:16 PM »
Insurance renewal time, Carol Nash trying to fleece me so had a ring around. Devitts does not recognise the CB750K (736cc) at all. Muppets "no sir not on our database so we cannot quote"
My bike has been insured with Carol Nash and E Bike without problems over the last few years.
Then the cheeky ***** phone me up.

CB750 / I fear the worst
« on: June 13, 2015, 02:18:46 PM »
Got my bike up and running but it was burning a little oil from number 4 cylinder, no big deal I thought as it had not been run for many months and was thinking maybe a sticking ring or valve stem oil seal. This week is my first ride due to a knee replacement and after 20 odd miles I find the following.
No smoke on start up when cold.
No smoke on overrun
No smoke on normal acceleration
Smoke on acceleration with big throttle openings
Smoke at standstill with hot motor upon revving.
What do the collective guru's think? Should I carry on and hope it clears or carry on smoking away for the summer?
If the motor has to come out then it can wait till winter methinks.

Rideable (apart from me recovering from total knee replacement). Just a few bits to sort
 need correct l/h fork ear,
could be burning a bit of oil on number 4 which may be better after a decent ride,
Exhaust clamps are knackered (been drilled right through by a blind man)!!
Need the plastic document lid for under seat.
Need the rubber gizmos for top of carbs.
Not sure about jetting yet, put 105's in which as far as I can find out is corrct for a UK 1974 K2
Frame and engine numbers are a long way apart so could be a different engine (or maybe not after reading some info about UK K2's on the site)

CB750 / Exhaust Clamps

Ey up
I presume that the clamps should be tapped 8mm left and right handed and not drilled clear with a nut and bolt through (looks like this from the parts list), I have helicoils at my disposal!!!

Hi, been a lurker for a while, now looking for a new project I'm from Leeds and definately not as young as I used to be!
Had a K2 750 when i was 17, had to take a bank loan out as it was £500 1974 on an "N" if remember correctly. If only etc etc

CB750 / 750K0-K6 Wanted
« on: October 19, 2014, 09:55:31 PM »
Hi been lurking for quite a while after almost delving into a sohc a couple of years ago. I'm looking for a project for the winter (or maybe the next few winters) K2 would be nice to relive when i was 17. Just finished and sold a Suzuki triple (got more pleasure from the rebuild than actually riding it). Having just returned from Stafford I was a little disappointed at what was available and the prices they wanted :o
