Thanks to Graham (Trigger) for the superb job on the engineering side of things  :D

Looking good Paul, keep the photos coming.
Have you had the carbs apart?  Since I had mine ultrasonically cleaned and vapour blasted the engine will not tune properly.  When it does eventually start its runs really rough, good luck with yours  :).

Yep I bought a cleaner myself and did them a while ago.
More than likely the float height, did you buy new needle valves and jets !

Probably be raining! Was away in Europe when all the good weather was on here and now I'm back it's always raining.
Engine looks lovely and clean inside and out. (Cruzinimage pistons?)

Paul. Are they Cuzinimage inlet rubbers, they look like it. Dont use them they will only last about 300 miles until the rubber cracks around the aluminium insert. Had Ash soften my originals for me and they work much better. Will post some pictures of the damage later.

You obviously didn't watch the BBC breakfast news yesterday nursey, the experts now think alcohol can prevent people getting diabetes! They done a long term test and that was their conclusion!

Ha, poppycock. If that was true how come our dearly departed 'Bitsa' had diabetes?. Anyways, we don't have a TV at home, so I miss out on all the medical gossip, I have to read medical journals for my fix 😊😊😊

I will Hairy but have to be careful as don't have a TV licence as no TV. I would hate to be caught doing something illegal  ;) ;) ;)

Go somewhere that has a licence, such as the pub!

I will do Hairy, I will go to our village pub when it reopens. Its just had a new thatched roof put on (built in 1473) and the building has undergone a complete renovation, they have their liquor licence back so TV licence soon I expect.

Lovely looking bike Paul.  A word of advice, don't ride it to Ruislip and leave it unattended, someone will nick those carbs for their own 400/4................ ;)

Nice job Paul........ How's it going with the Cruzinimage pistons, are you getting any smoke from the exhausts........ What happened to the two missing studs in the early pictures?..........Here are the pictures of my Cruzin intake rubbers as promised. These have done less than 300 miles from new and are completely bin-able. They do look similar to your DSS ones, best keep an eye on them Paul. Cheers.

All good at the moment. I will keep an eye on the rubbers, they were from silvers and it did have the manufacturers name on them, can't remember who it was.
