It is possible with a LOT of fiddling and cursing to undo the nuts that hold the lock to the pan EVENTUALY, I take it the key is lost or not working

Ive got the key and its been working fine since ive had the bike. Put the key in turn to the left but just feels like the key is just turning but not the mechanism inside the lock".

Can you get at the hinge pins of the 350? Did read somewhere that on some SOHCs it was possible to remove the two hinge pins and then turn the whole seat through maybe nearly 90deg to release. But you would need to remove the tank also I presume to protect. But may also improve access to BJs method to get at the nuts holding the pin to the pan. I think there is an offset pin in the lock that breaks.
Amazing when I re-read this. Remove the tank!! err how??

Thanks Bryanj managed to undo the two nuts as you suggested to release the seat pan. various bits of broken metal in there. Need to go shopping. DS have them at £50 seems pricey.
Does anyone have a spare one in there workshops they would be willing to sell.

Care to comment on how much blue air and how many knuckles left?

Yes Mike im after a seat lock for a CB350F. Not sure if the same lock covers all the sohc range.
I can order one from DS but they are looking for £50 + postage

On the blue air and knuckles i was lucky that i was spraying the side panel so that was on my bench. Gave me a bit more room to get my smallest 10mm spanner in.
