Title: New member in Northamptonshire
Post by: MercIan on August 24, 2017, 05:12:23 PM
[attachimg=2]Hi all bought this a few weeks ago as I wanted a racer type bike and couldn't bring myself to cur up a std one(let alone afford one). It has compression and turns over ok but has obviously been sat around for a long time judging from the bit of bush and the smell think it's had mice or rats urinating on it for years. Wheels are H.A industries not sure if to persist with the fuel tank that's fitted or to go down the CR route. Cheers Ian

Hi and welcome, 750's are the best choice! Is the tank on it alloy? If so, why not make it your own cafe' racer, going down the CR route can become obsessive, and you think a standard bike is expensive, see what some of the people here have spent building CR replicas! Whatever you decide, enjoy it!

Hi yes the tank is alloy just having a look at a couple of options as I agree that the CR route would be expensive [attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

Welcome - good look with the build, whichever way you decide to go. I can certainly vouch for the CR rep build 'throwing money a it' theme. Replica tanks, exhausts, etc are a fortune!
Enjoy the forum
