hello Piki,

if you fit R (resister) plugs, make sure your plug caps are NONE resister,

or,

5K resisiter caps ,and none R plugs,

if the caps are the ones fitted from new, maybe replace all of them.as the resister caps do burn out over time.

Cheapest place for spark plugs is Euro Car parts.

Type in 408774560 in the search box at the top for D7EA plugs, they are £2.69 each and with one of their codes they always give out even cheaper.

Got 4 last week for £6.99

Not Julie..... Spain is a shit about Japan Vintage Bikes, but I will buy it from Euro Car Parts and them send me or I could buy from a Spares Parts here in Madrid....tomorrow I will ask price and I will comparate both.
Best Regards.

I think the K3 used a different grade of plug as it runs lean, D8EA from memory but NGK do a good online catalogue

Best plug for all CB Fours is the somewhat later developped D8ES-L. The French CB500/550 handbook calls them autonettoyante (selfcleaning). I always had them, especially during long holiday rides in France, Italy, Greece and Spain. They're halfway the heatrange of the old D8ES and D7ES and so were safe in long Autobahn rides at maintained high speeds. It could well be that the D8EA is exactly the same plug with just an another name. I suppose so, because the D8ES-L was used in a long list of contemperary bikes. The '7' is more for break-in period and for those that never cruise above 5000 rpm.
