Ok looking online, mine must be an aftermarket exhaust as the four downpipes fit into seperate holes in the silencer ?

Hi i have spotted and wiggled out the cylinder to exhaust gaskets, they were so coked up didnt spot them cheers, but cant see any remnants of any gaskets for down pipes into silencer one has a pinch bolt to hold firm the rest seem a very snug fit ? Just to say as i didnt previously its a 75 400/4

Ok guys thanks for the opinions, have been searching for a guard for at least a year missed out on a fibreglass one on ebay so will have to bite the bullet and buy a new pattern one, and powder coat the light bracket. A minter isnt for me but if i can keep it from going down hill and maybe slightly improve it thats good. I get someone stop me or come over at least every other ride out to have a look and a chat about it so its not a bad un.

Just to see what the general opinion is on keeping the bike 100 % original even if a little bit tatty, my rear mudguard is shot and needs replacing but regarding rear light bracket etc its not perfect but also not totally scruffy ,  i dont know whether to get it blasted and powder coated with a few other bits or touch it in, am definitely keeping tank and panels original, although not perfect are in good order for the year, cheers

Hi all, im new to the site, i have a 75 400/4 already posted on the newbie msg board regarding float chamber gaskets, maybe should have posted here ? Also quick question regarding air filters, im thinking of putting individual max flow type air filters on the carbs but am wondering where would the breather hose from cylinder head go, as this connects to air filter box ?

Hi Mag 1, the ebay gaskets are different to mine and dearer than the the carb service kit, the kit in the states is 10 dollars for the four gaskets, but need them asap. Sorry for my ignorance but what is the part checker you mentioned ? Anybody tried good old fashioned blue gasket sealant for the job, so i can get it tested ?
