Cheers steff750 , typical that I'm left with a part that's worth £230 new but only fetch around £10 on ebay! What should I expect for a full set of genuine std size rings on the bay? Should have broke the bike up, but having newborn twins meant spare time is non existent, so it went to a local fella for a song. Better someone else have it cheap & do something with it than it sit in my back garden another 5 years. Thanks again, Ed.

. Thanks again archmill, wasn't expecting that! Do you know if these are quite sought after? Cheers, Ed.

Thanks for your reply Archmill, couldn't see a rectifier on D.S, any idea what these are worth? Like I said the connector is damaged but still usable & unit itself looks almost new. Thanks again, Ed.

Hi all, I have some piston rings for an F2 and was wandering if anyone on here could tell me what they're worth? They are genuine Honda parts and numbers are 13011-392=004 and 13011-410-601. I have a full set of the first and two sets of the latter, if this makes any difference? I also have a genuine rectifier, part no. 31700-341-015, in very good condition apart from having a damaged connector. There is someone interested who already took the half a bike that I had for a bargain, so just want a honest value on above parts. Hope someone can help, thanks in advance, Ed.

Thanks Den, I'd read that pistons & head were different but wasn't sure about barrels. Hopefully these numbers will help me source replacement/spare parts in future. Thanks again for your help,
Ed.

it seems that the past few times that I've posted, my post is repeated two, three and even four times. is this because I'm doing something wrong or is it a glitch on the forum? any advice as to how to stop this?
thanks
Ed.

Hi John, not done this myself yet either but i assume measurement is taken from carb body to bottom of float (flat side) central to the float if you know what i mean. for the older carbs there seems to be an issue whether to measure from top of lip or gasket surface, but as the F2 carbs don't have this lip, it must be from gasket surface? i know these aren't your carbs but this might help clarify the matter- as i said before, not done this yet so if anyone knows better please explain, as this is how i intended to do mine, regards, Ed.

hi, haynes manual diagram shows floats with flat side facing down towards float bowl and states float level should be 14.5mm (0.5709in) for the F2. as to setting float level try here http://www.salocal.com/sohc/tech/carb/carb.htmhope this helps, Ed.

I would like a project, not that far gone though, then I would make a cafe racer I think!! thanks Jim, gonna need all the luck i can get. i think I've taken on more than i bargained for here but I'll just have to see how it goes. a cafe racer sounds good to me also, but just to get it up and running would be an achievement for me at this stage. will post more pics if/when i get rest of parts. thanks, Ed.
