Tha starter motor on my CB750 K2 seems to struggle to turn the engine over.
I have replaced the battery.
Today I noticed that the starter and the earth cable are getting extremely hot when trying to crank the engine.
The bike turns over easy enough on the kick start
Is there a way of testing the starters motor

Can anyone clarify when the top yolk/ clock mounting arrangement changed on the CB750.
My K2 has the clocks bolted to the mounting bracket but I believe it should be fitted to a rhino horn type

I have a CB750 which I believe may have originated from France.
The VIN number is on the right side of the headstock is this correct as I have been advised they should be on the left
I also notice that the number is proceeded with a symbol which looks like a square with a X inside

I have recently purchased my first 750/4 a K6 needing restoration.
I have realised that the top yoke has broken can anyone advise if the top yoke is common to all K models or are they ynique
