Hi All,
I now have 3 bikes in the garage, all at various stages of restoration, two UK registered and one imported.
I was wondering about insurance.
Can I insure all of the bikes as "off the road" or do I need to insure them as potentially road going vehicles?

Also Which is the best insurance company to use for this sort of thing?
You guys are the font of all knowledge so thought I would ask you first before spending a day ringing around all the different companies and giving my details to all and sundry.
Thanks in advance.

CB750 / 750k5 coils
« on: April 27, 2017, 10:13:19 AM »
Hi all,
As you may or may not know I am restoring a USA import K5.
I want to replace the coils as the leads are really hard and not flexible at all.
Apart from D.S. (who is out of stock), where can I get a new set from please.
I dont need OEM but a decent pattern set that will do the job will suffice, as long as they look similar to the originals and are reliable.
Ive seen a few on fleabay but they look nothing like the originals or i could get the dyno ones but they are green.
A little help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Ive just rebuilt my top end and didnt use any sealant on the head gasket. I torqued it down as stated in the book and it seems fine.

Thanks Trigger, that's the job for this evening.
I'll let you know. Fingers crossed I won't need to buy the valves.

So do you think these valves will be ok with a clean up and a relapping?

They were covered in sandstone from the American desert i think.
I thought thats what you were referencing with your last comment.
Why would you not have the head blasted with the valves in? Surely with the valves in it will protect the guides and the seats etc?
