Hello,

I've had a Hobbymat for ages and it's a very good little lathe, although screwcutting is very difficult (impossible) without making a hand crank to hand turn the spindle, rather than using the motor, which is too high geared. There is an accessory slow speed drive which can be fitted if you do a lot of thread cutting. They were made in East Germany and are well made-spares are available mail order on the internet.

   Cheers, MikeJ

Hello,

wow! that was quick! Thanks for all the replies. I was planning to use CB550 yokes to take the fork legs. Now, what's 35mm in imperial?

CB350/400 / CB400F fork leg length

Hello Folks,

can someone please tell me the overall fork leg length for a CB400F? That's the stanchion and slider assembled together, from the top of the stanchion tube to the middle of the axle hole when the bike is unloaded. I'm planning to build a special and want to use Italian 35mm forks for nefarious reasons of my own.

      Cheers, MikeJ
