I am tempted to try and rebuild this little toy,

I have always loved a little 2 stroke twin, and would love to get this back on the road,

problem is lack of documents, will the DLVA accept frame, engine number and receipt from the seller?
I don't mind an age related plate,but don't want a Q plate,

will the DVLA play,or is it best to forget it?

 I think I need a V62 and a V890 SORN form,
will I need to insure it while its in the garage?
obviously an MOT is out of the question,so what happens next ?

CB500/550 / CB500 leaky oil pump
« on: January 09, 2016, 01:09:59 PM »
I am getting annoying oil drips from the oil pump housing,

I have replaced the main pump to crankcase joint "O" ring, also the smaller 2 "O" rings on the studs,

but I am unable to unscrew the 3 phillips headed end plate screws, and this is the one thats leaking,I believe,

my local bike shop also can't remove them,

any ideas?

these damn drips are really annoying,

Tricks & Tips / workshop drip trays/screw holders
« on: February 16, 2015, 09:57:49 PM »
to cut a long story short, since the start of december my wife has been either in hospital,or home, and immobile due to a ankle joint
problem,
so I have to do the cooking etc,
not being a chef,I went for ease ,and started buying ready meals from our local supermarkets,

it turns out there some great meals that just require defrosting and cooking, and tasty as well,
but with several,you get a durable plastic tray/dish,about 8" Dia,and 1 3/4" deep,perfect as drip trays,or screw.bolt holders,

but, remember to eat the grub first !!!!
