Title: Problem with solid state Reg/Rect unit
Post by: RoytheBoy on May 15, 2018, 08:48:01 PM
I have fitted a solid state unit to a 750 K7 but can't get the Regulator part to work (I have tried two units now & same thing)......however, I have plugged in the old regulator into the black/white wires (with SS Rect unit still fitted) & it works fine?????

anyone else had this problem & how was it fixed?

cheers

The searches don't seem to show up mutch generally for this.  Some have used ss reg recs I think but I can't remember relevant posts to look at so maybe someone else can offer better recall for you.

This I think was referenced before (think it was on this forum)  as I've got the link saved for it.

Could be of help possibly in figuring out what you've got.

I have the same set up on my 500, my rectifier gave up, I'm too tight to buy a new one and had a solid state rec/reg for another unknown bike in a box of bits so wired in the rectifier part but still use my original Honda regulator. Its a well worn café racer so originality not important.
