If one bike doesn't lend itself to being chopped its surely the 400 Four!

Hideous! People who do things like that should be locked away in Broadmoor, they are criminally insane!

I have just shown that picture to my restored 400 4 and it ran of to the corner of the garage shaking :o
-
Wow that's fabulous. The ultimate rat bike. Ride it like it is, have a laugh.

Bellmouths specially designed to catch the rain and crap, can't think why it's seized. And the seat could damage the gentleman region. Otherwise absolutely fabulous bike.

Forums always make me laugh at how people slag off stuff that isn't their cup of tea, as long as it's got 2 wheels, is ridden and someone loves it I don't care what it is, if you own a bike it is yours to do with what you want and it's not open for question as long as it is safe, make it your own and make it the way you want it and sod the nay sayers, how boring life would be if we all had the exact same standard bike.

So you love it then !! ???
I will lay you 10-1 he doesn't sell it at that price unless you are going to but it to prove me wrong !
-
Don't know what the problem is. Imagine the laugh you could have turning up at places on that. £79 I'm tempted to buy it myself and take it to the isle of man. At least you'll be talked about and people would get a good laugh out of it. If you saw some of the shite I've ridden over the years. May have to make it safe first though.

I do love it because it makes me smile, I would never diss someone else's ride and I wouldn't take issue with them because they had the temerity to change their own bike into something they want, if that's what they want and it brings them pleasure that's all that matters and I definitely wouldn't post it on the internet with the express intention to have it ridiculed, royhall has the right idea, celebrate it don't denigrate it, if the person who made it like that felt like he/she was in Easy Rider even for a nano second whilst riding it then it's mission accomplished as far as I am concerned.

Your quite right Bodd but you have got to admit its a strange thing.

He doesn't want it either he's selling it.?

Your point being ? I sold my 1972 MGBGT a few years ago, I'd had it since I was 17 and stilled loved it but personal circumstances sometimes dictate, as for the bike in the first post of this thread it hadn't been on the road for 10 years but he still kept hold of it.
-
Well I may like it, but its still a great pile of steaming shite. But that's what I like about it, its a good laugh. A bit Purple Helmets if you know what I mean.
-
I find well used ratty bikes appealing but ape bars, sissy bars and king&queen seats are still a no no.
Bikes deliberately made to look ratty never look right.

I don't think anyone is really slagging it off....its just not to everyone's taste ...I personally think it's truly awful and quite possibly a death trap
But I was the first bidder £15
I have a job for the wheels if the engine wasn't seized I would still bid...
if I'm drunk when it ends I may bid more
-
I started the post for a talking point - no offence to anyone - everybody to their own as they say but turning a 400four into a chopper style just doesn't seem to work for me but hey ho - (got to go now as working on my Gold Wing Ascencade Cafe Racer this weekend!)

Woodside, does it end on a Saturday night ;D

Well, I see the original listing was "ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing". Allegedly.
So how about this one? No sissy bars ....

Hi,
Work in progress? when was that, in 1980, hardly worth stripping for spares unless you are desparate, everything is an unknown including the engine.
-
That's reassuring; "One of a kind" ;D

That's the one I put on earlier in the chain of posts.
Now I accept what everyone has been saying on this topic but that is a horror show IN MY Opinion and cannot be safe. I can only imagine what tha handeling is like with that front tyre.

I am devastated to sell it but we are emigrating and it can't come with us!
Another country allows this guy to emigrate but not his bike. ha ha
