Hairy - its the USA forum www.sohc4.net (not this one) that is being discussed.

I'm a moderator over there and it is a very different place from this (for a start, we had to ban political discussion as they would have started shooting one another!)

The forum is so large (11k members, 3M views/month and 20k posts/month) that you have to be specific in the title of your post if you want the right sort of answer.

It is true that there is HUGE experience over there in all modifications that you may (or may not) have thought of), but it is a much harder place to get your question heard.

All I can suggest is that you review your thread title(s) and/or contact direct the individuals who seem most expert on your requirement.

I may be able to help there if you advise what the question(s) was/were.

I'm sure that some of our American SOHC cousins have talked about these guys.

I have the parts book with exploded diagrams. Will see if I can scan the required pages and post them on here.

Rejected them all.

Hi Flick - while I hate to turn away SOHC enthusiasts, you'll be far better off on sohc4.net as they are mostly in the US and like building cafe racers!

I'm off to deepest Dartmoor for a week with no internet, no PC and no mobile phone!

If there's any spam, please report it in the normal way and I'll deal with it on my return.

Likewise, any delayed registrations (sometimes they get caught up in the spammer filters) I will deal with then.

Hi Harri

Where are you in Mddx?

Post some pictures so that we can see what you are talking about.

While the CBX550 is a great bike in its own right, it is not a SOHC engine and is effectively Honda's "next generation" middleweight. As Bryan says, it never caught on.

I had one that MCN borrowed and ran up against a CBR600RR a while back. They were amazed at the dyno and dragstrip performance.

It is here. Go to Gallery and CBX550FII

I've tried to post a pic of the bike, but it's too big and I don't have the IT skills to compress it, even with the help of Google and the various free sites out there !  I'll get there eventually.
Hi Dave,
Try opening the picture in Paint then click on Image in the toolbar. There you have an option to resize the image. I generally start at a 50% reduction and see what size file that is. If OK, save as to your desktop where it's ready for using as an attachment.
Hope this helps !

Or get the Microsoft Image Resizer widget from their website:
Here's the XP version
