Title: Electrical Question
Post by: philward on March 23, 2018, 09:37:59 PM
I'm not using the starter motor on the CR Rep as I've got the narrow Electrex alternator and the starter gear has to go. So question is what size wire can I get away with for the earth strap from the battery and the positive from the battery to the fuse box as max current draw will be from projector headlight and ignition? Using a small Shorai lithium battery under the seat hump.

Earth wire I would leave as original as it wont matter or get in the way of anything else, positive neds to be same size as the wire from fuse to loom as that is the one that carries all the load except starter

Thanks Bryan - that'll be part of the weekend jobs - if I can find all the cable fittings I bought 6 months ago and put away safe somewhere!
