Hi all,
Does anyone own a CB250G5 or CB360G5?
Was given a 250 in boxes and have been slowly putting it back together.
I have just realised that my newly painted frame is missing the seat lock bracket, would it be possible for someone to give me some measurements of the bracket so i can get a new fabricated.
Cheers.

Welcome !
Not sure..the seat latch is the same as the 400/4 I think and possibly CB250/350K4 . DK Spares are bound to have one from a USA CB360G
Genuine Service manual is here on this site BTW.

May be worth joining and asking on HondaTwins.net site (I am member there too)
JamesH on here has some parts in Member Sales inc a seat

Ash,
Thanks for the reply.
It is the dimensions of the actual bracket that i am after or the bracket itself!
Just done an internet search on the frame for the 400/4 and the bracket does look the same.
Would need to find a damaged one so i can cut it off and get it welded to mine.
Off to join HondaTwins.
Michael.

As Ash says the latch is the same as the 400/4. It is a 340 part number, not sure what model 340 relates to (but Ash may well know!).
I should be able to get dimensions and photos of the bracket for you. It will be tomorrow as I will have to move stuff around in my garage to get access.

OK, had a look at the bracket on my bike. It's a sod to get the shape, probably easiest to use a lock to get the right edge shape as the profile is the same.
There is a protruding lug on the underside which locates in one of the holes on top of the lock so not easy to trace the outline.
A selection of photos of the bracket, plus some possibly useful dimensions.
Diameter of lock plunger hole: 17mm, tapering out to 22mm on top.
Thickness of bracket: 4mm
Edge of shock absorber mount to centre of plunger hole: 113mm
Edge of frame tube to centre of plunger hole: 20mm
Top of bracket to bottom of frame tube: 4.5mm
Hope this gives enough information for a start at least. I'll try and help more if you need it but will be away for the next week.

And a couple more pics (can only put 5 in a post).

Thankyou very much for the information and pictures, that certainly gives me a start.
Looking at them, the bracket looks the same as the outline for the lock. Which helps as well.
Cheers.
