Title: Not quite an SOHC but a fun looking conversion

Saw this at the Bath Festival of Motoring (but didn't find the owner to chat to).

It IS an SOHC, 85cc ohc single, and one of Mr Hondas longest running designs, 60 years and still in production, the Honda empire was built from the sales of these. I can ask on the Cub forum to find out who owns/built it, and why!

You're quite right Hairy. I was simply thinking in terms of the 350 to 750 stuff we focus mainly on in this forum. Cheers, D.

It's a Chinese motor, 120 to 140cc. Based on a Honda but there are some significant differences like the oil pump, and some also move the clutch off the crank to the first gearbox shaft.

I've just abandoned rebuilding one having found a crack in the left case, but I got 10 years out of it and only paid £100.
