Title: Rear Shock Lower Bush Removal
Post by: waffey on March 03, 2018, 10:14:59 AM
Hi

last job on my swing arm, the removal of the bushes. I believe they are tapered, do they come out away from the bike or do they come out in the inside of the swing arm?

Not tapered, just a very tight press fit. If you have access to a press, they push out either side. If not, I would suggest taking it to a local engineering firm to do it for you, saves a lot of cursing and swearing!

Oddjob’s method will save you a lot of time and hassle. I’d suggest doing that relief cut first (will take you 5 mins with a junior hacksaw) and then use the sockets to press out. Best of both methods...
