Just came in. 1978 C2 with 24.000 km.
Needs some TLC, big service etc.

Lovely looking machine Uli. They look just right...
-
Nice one Uli just like mine ;D ;D

:D
Bike came with a Moto Italia fairing (painted in stardust silver), Tomaselli and sport footpeg. And a white Giuliari (already sold in eBay). Not sure what I do with that stuff.

Did a guy called Charlie buy the seat.
He is nuts on them and Alpha exhausts ;)
-
No it sold here in G.
I was surprised, sold within a few hours at 125€.
I always thought white Giuliari look, well yes ....you know it.
Thanks for the link.

Been asked to swap the Z650C with a CB500four. Sitting in a warm garage since years. Needs wake-up.
What do you think?
-
Personally uli I would keep the z650....

I'm with James. The Honda is very nice but the 650 just looks right.
-
Come on lads can't talk like that on a Honda site! ;)
-
Cant decide. Love them both. Had a CB500 when I was 20.
How is the market for both?
For Z650 here is hard. For sellers.

Another vote for the 650, from a 500/550 owner now and a past 650 owner (35 years ago). I'd have one if I was younger/stronger.
-
That tank makes it a late 500 but if the exhausts are good i would say the Honda has a higher value(and cheaper parts).
-
She’s a 75 or 76 with the bigger Tacho/speedo. Pipes are good.
-
If the Zed was a B model....then it would be a no brainer.
The later C's are less sought after. For me...I would have to ditch the stock pipe for an old skool Harris 4-1, add a 2-4 seat and paint the wheels flourescent orange. Renthal bars. Could be made to look really sweet, but in stock trim they are a bit less pretty. Only had B's myself....one of which had a Gpz750 motor in place of the stock 650 lump.
I know the 500 would be slower....but it looks really pretty....even in brown...

It always amazes me that the Z650, particularly the B1 model has never risen steeply in value.
I had a B1 once but being a Honda man through and through somebody saw it in my garage and offered me reasonable money for it, which I took and gladly embarked on a Honda 400/4 resto (the one I still own). But looking back it was a really lovely designed bike in terms of bullet proof engine, handling etc. I bet if Kawasaki had made it a four piper instead of 4 into 2 it would be an entirely different story today as it would genuinely have been deemed a baby Z1. The Z1 four pipes have to be the most beautiful looking set of 4 into 4 pipes on any bike IMHO.

Parts for the Honda are about half the price of the Z, but that said the Kawasaki still has my vote.

Deal done. My mate, a serious Kawa collector, desperately wanted that 650 and swap with his CB500Four.
Done that because the CB has 48hp which is the max. power for beginners and I will give her to my daughter when she does her license.
The “agio” is a CB350K (with drum brake, I think it’s a K2 or K3), rolling chasis with engine in pieces. Hope everything is there in the boxes and the engine is not toast.
