Title: Recovering a 550 K0 seat
Post by: SteveW on October 20, 2018, 05:27:00 PM
Have ordered a new seat cover from DS, is replacing the cover pretty straight forward?

Can the chrome effect trim around the base be re-used?

The seat foam appears to be in pretty good shape.

On a oem seat cover, the trim is moulded to the cover  ;) Never tried to remove the trim and fit to a aftermarket cover.

Similar edging is available. I have a piece that is near perfect. (was supplied by Bob, but had a small crease) if you want to pop over.
Do it in a warm room. + a tip I used was to use maybe 30 of these little clips to hold it in place until happy and apply the strip.
