Title: Another Newbie
Post by: RGP750 on September 23, 2013, 09:16:18 AM
Back ,what seems yesterday,I bought a CB175 new 1972 and then went on then a cb250 and then
a 500/4 and a 550/4 and BMW's etc.
I always thought the 500 to be the best. Several friends had 750's but i couldn't afford one,'til now(and wanting to re kindle my youth)
Bought a Gold one last Saturday, pretty much one owner from new ,all but 3 months even got original purchase invoice 1974 £825.
Te restore or not???Haven't made my mind up but it does need a tidy up.
Also bought a cb175 last year, again gold like i had.
my original one DKL54K is still on the road somewhere according to DVLA Anyone seen it?
does any one know how to achieve the correct finish of the outer casings? I have seen several highly polished, they never were, any help appreciated.
I'm in Kent :) :)

welcome to the site, I agree with you the 500 is the best of the sohc bikes, although many will disagree!

Hi,
Welcome to the club, the best Honda sohc is always dependent on what you ride, but they are all loved on here, and at least you can tell what they are from 100 yards away
