I've done an engine number change recently. As I didn't have a receipt for it I needed a letter from a garage confirming the engine number and the number of the frame it was fitted to. However they DVLA can ask to inspect it or ask for an engineers report - in your case I'd be reluctant to risk it.

The less than legal options start with withdrawing as much information that you've made public as you can - including this thread.

You wont/shouldn't be able to get an MOT without frame numbers matching V5. Some testers are happy with a vin plate others insist on a stamped head stock.
I've seen people get away with original head stocks welded into aftermarket frames, or frames stamped, or vin plates attached.

There's a points system for what qualifies as a new vehicle, https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/radically-altered-vehicles

What is the new frame, is it modified CB750 or aftermarket?
If modified with clear numbers you could go through the process of registering it. If aftermarket I think you'd need an SVA test.

I think it would be too risky to try to change the engine number and year on the current V5 as they may wish to inspect it.

Do you have any means of checking the temperature?
You can get oil temp dip sticks and colour changing stickers, or even just an infra red thermometer.

+1 for the leak test, but also test the seal between the manifold and the head as one of those o-rings might have failed.

Could you get it welded and machined? Plenty of places can do cranks and cams so you'd think this would be possible.

Typically the differences tell you if you have a fault and from that perspective it looks excellent, the values either tell you how worn it is or how well calibrated your gauge is - easiest way to tell which is to try it on other motors.
If there are no other reasons to suspect poor compression then it's probably fine.

My issue was it regulated reliably, but at too low a voltage.
Never did find out of all models were the same. 550 standard system very simple once the penny drops on how it all works good clean earth and good clean switched live essential.

They must have changed their stance on it, I'm currently with them for two bikes one is bored and stroked.

Too late to be of use, but I've insured a bored and stroked bike with both ebike and Carole Nash.

Heat evenly till the seals smoke and they'll pop out easily - even the ones where a PO has used stud lock or similar on them.

Chromecast is £28, displays content from most but not all relevant tablet/mobile apps on the TV, note Sky Go doesn't work with it.
Kodi is a free app that can be used to watch most TV/Film, but note that many of plug ins to streaming services are not legal. You can buy pre-configured kodi boxes or run it from a tablet/mobile. Apple TV is often used in a similar way.

The plug goes to the stator and the two lose wires go to two out of the three that went to the old regulator with an earth wire left over.

You don't need brakelights at all if it's not capable of over 25mph. You probably don't need a back wheel either if you try to achieve that through gearing.

All vehicles are dangerous in the wrong hands, lets justify it to all victims or ban all vehicles.

I've got bike with no lights that I don't use in the dark, in tunnels or in fog, it's a trials bike with a 2.6L tank. The starter of this post clearly wants lights but is trying to find the easiest way to get an MOT.

Aren't bike forums normally full of people wanting less rules and restrictions?
