Today I saw this post on Face book regarding aftermarket aluminium wheels made for the Honda CB500 550 and 750 !

It is something I never seen and there is also a brocher of them

I guess there might have been companies which at that time might have tought as an investment in aftermarket parts.

I have bought 3 brand new from D.S.in the last 2 years, last one being around 4 weeks ago and he had 6 in stock but were all gone in 2-3 days

just register for a notification when the parts arrive you get an email. That is what I did. Overall he has the cheapest original in brand new .

Thanks for your input guys !!

I think best option would be to replace crankcase .Managed to find a good priced one but just  need to check locally for registration purposes .

At the moment there is like a copper plate covering the damage which I have not yet removed to see underneath. One i take it off I will have a better view. For is that oil leaks from it .

As from my experience my sprayer does not apply any clear coat before i put on the decals and tank is sanded down as previously mentioned. The only decals that are appleid after on top of the clear coat are the warning decals.

Hope this helps

CB500/550 / Re: HM323 Update
« on: August 18, 2016, 06:55:22 PM »
Hi All ,

Today i dismantled my newley installed replicas HM323 to carry out some work on my bike.

I noticed when I dismantled them that they have soot at  the rear around the bolts which you tie the brackets to. Not too much but Obviously for me these are leaking from this place. I shall post pictures tomorrow of these.

I do not think that any seal should be installed there? Also has anyone experienced this ? Is this also on the original ones ?

I have only yet covered 200 miles since my rebuild.

I thought that here in Malta we had cowboys but it seems they are all over the place not just here !!

It is logic sens even for the plasterer to work with the kitchen in place it is going to be a bigger job and then he has to make sure not to damage the new kitchen !! even more if they are to install any wall tiles !!

Just make sure  your bikes are kept away from these people  8) ;D
