I collected the above today, and my first question is -
Do the US bikes run with lights on all the time as there doesn't seem to be a switch on the right switch gear to turn lights on and off like the UK/EU bikes. Also the front indicators seem to be on low with the low beam as well or is this a wiring glitch? I wouldn't be surprised as the loom has been hacked.

I had a quick look in the Parts List (available from Ashimoto's Dropbox, and very useful).
The right switch gear for US and Canadian bikes has a different P/N to all other variants.
Bulbs in front indicators are also shown as twin filament.
I suspect your wiring is correct for the bike, in this respect anyway!

Yes, u.s. models do have lights on all the time, but you can fit a U.K. model switchgear with on/off facility.The front indicators on u.s. models are dual filament bulbs, low wattage come on with low beam (apparently to show oncoming traffic that it's a bike, not a car with a dud headlight) these must be disconnected to pass an m.o.t. in U.K., and normal 21w filament for indicating. Started dismantling the front end as the forks seals are completely shot and as I was taking the headlight off I noticed that the sealed unit seemed quite small in the head light bowl and is quite loose. Can anyone tell me if this looks correct?

There seem to be to fixing screws at the 4 O'clock and 8 O'clock positions and an adjusting screw in the rim at 9 O'clock.

It does look a little small, there is no adjusting screw in the rim on mine.

You'll need to change it or tape up some of the glass to get through a U.K. m.o.t because the yanks drive on the wrong side of road, so it will dip to the wrong side here!
