Gosh, I hate those handlebars. Makes the bike look like some fairyground attraction.

Standard US Bars mate
Still bloody awful though!

Colour may be non standard but +1 from me too.
Looks particularly good on a sunny day with blue sea as a backdrop!
-
Really like the bars ;D

I did a set like that once in candy ruby red. Looked really nice.
Only... the gold striping on this bike makes it a little... I don't know... less nice(?)
With white striping it could pretend to be original.

Yes Menno that would be me.
MOT next week or so and then I will fit the newly painted tank and panels and also have have new DS pipes to fit and finally post a picture. Nice work, but still sitting carefully wrapped on the spare bedroom!

Not nit picking here BUT if you look at the picture showing the clocks, pic 11 you'll notice the tank has some weird white stuff showing on the leading edge and that the chrome strip doesn't fit that area at all. Perhaps Menno would know what the white stuff is but it looks like filler to me which does detract a little from what is essentially a very nice looking bike.
Could be a touch of rust with polish clogged in it.

If I look at that picture intensively my guess would be that the tank is damaged on the edge ant the chrome trim covers it (almost).
Probably a not so careful try to get the tank on the frame (lifted to high trying to find the rubber caps on the frame and making sure the clutch cable lies on top.)
I am very curious indeed what the tank looks like attached on your Bike Seabeowner.
As soon as you have a picture.... 8)
