Mileage?
These days who knows but I would not part with more than 2 grand
-
I think the clocks had 30k on them but who knows as we all know thay have probably been changed at some point.
I think I can get it for just over a £1000
-
Prob worth min £3.5K after restoration so at that price might still be something in it afterwards. Go for it.

With the powdercoating and tbe nice headers, mudguards and caliper, I would offer about £1200. I doesn't sound like it needs a lot doing to it.
A good wiring loom tip; before you do anything to it put it in the dishwasher. It comes up really clean and you can see what needs doing to it.

I know the 400 is a small bike but I don't think it will fit in the dishwasher ;D

You will be in big trouble if your Wife asks you 'Wires this in my dishwasher' ?

Mike is lucky,he has access to large industrial washers
-
Sounds good in theory but won't you get residual moisture causing corrosion / poor contacts?
-
I was woundering that. Will the salt affect the copper?

dont worry, bung a cork in the exhaust ,it should be OK

Dishwashers don't wash with salt. Salt is just used to backflush the ion exchange unit in the water softener. After 3 rinse cycles, there won't be any residual detergent left on the loom. Trust me, it works.
Mick, best to remove the loom from the bike first.

Good to know.
The wiring loom is about the only part of a bike thats not been through the wash.

I put my Katana 650 loom through a wash cycle. I was surprised to see all the wiring was different colours, before washing they were all a shitty black colour. After hanging it up to dry it was good as new.
