Hi all.
Just thought I'd be polite and say hello.
Recently bought an 82 CB650 which I'm stripping and doing up as either a café racer, or bobber/brat bike.
Just on with carb stripping... It's got Keihin Vb44a Carbs. The previous owner removed airbox and said it felt a bit hesitant.... Is this a common issue with the vacuum Carbs?
Thanks.

The previous owner is/was a twat, you need the air box when you have vacuum carbs it stabilizes the airflow through the carbs, without it you cannot set them up properly you either get it running nicely on low revs or high revs not all across the range, the best thing to do is get an original air box and build your bike while retaining the original carb set up.

Welcome Sean. We don't get many 650s on here, let us know how it all goes.
