Bit of a puzzle that one - must have had the riveted centre bridge removed and refitted. Can't quite see if it's bolted back or riveted again.  Wouldn't fit by simply reversing as the holes would be completely out of position and the brake pipe clip on the other side.  Speedo cable grommet hole definitely at 12 o'clock on the wrong side.  Was it deliberate?  Front tyre looks larger section than the rear - wonder what else is arse about face?  Never seen one registered over here as early as 1980  before.

Your right about the mudguard, and the tyres are fitted back to front. That is no way Candy Bachus Olive, it's just a flat British Racing Green with clear coat on top (unless the pictures he took are way off).

I know I wouldn't sell mine at the price it's at on the auction just now.  He's probably buggered up the front of a perfectly good front mudguard fitting that mud flap - thought at first it was a front guard in one piece from a GL1000.  Even the very good DS copy is riveted the right way round. How could he get the tyres on the wrong rims?  I know they will fit but surely a proper tyre fitter would have questioned him?

He's probably buggered up the front of a perfectly good front mudguard fitting that mud flap.
I can't see any extra holes or fittings so suspect it may be fitted using the stay mounting screws.
What beats me is why anyone would dismantle the brace from the guard in the first place, before reassembling it wrongly.
Can't see whether it has been riveted back together or the rivets replaced by screws.

This is nothing, we had a look at a CB350F a while back and it had the front forks on the wrong way round. The little plastic guard behind the disk was facing forwards with the caliper at the back and all on the wrong side. He had even had a brake hose made special to fit. He was horrified when I pointed it out to him. And this guy was a dealer in classic cars and bikes. He said it had come from America in a crate with the front end removed to make it smaller and his mechanics had built it up. It was also advertised as being fully verified by a VMCC specialist. Some specialist.

I think he lied about the 'specialist'. Who knew wheeler dealers told lies?  ::)

Just short of £3700.00 not a bad price  for a bike we never had here, can only mean all of us that have one might recoup our outlays one day.

Quite a surprise on the final price!
'DK' had just sold an unregistered/some parts missing non-runner CB750 Flake sunrise orange (K4...really a K5) for £4150.00
Can only agree that prices are rising.
