Hi all,
Found a disconnected ground wire and can't for the life of me work out what it was supposed to be grounding. Any ideas?

Brown wires on Hondas are live not ground
-
If you watch the vid Bryan, someone is using a brown connected to a black and using it as a extra earth. Maybe a extra earth for indicators.
-
Is there anything that doesn't work? If not, don't worry about it.
-
Most likely an extra earth for indicators that's how mine are on the 750
-
Thanks for the replies guys!
To be clear : this is a black wire, with a blue/green marker on it (could even be aged white). It's connected to the earth point on the left strut/stanchion.
As far as I can make out everything on the bike works.
The ignition problem I mention in the video has been fixed (will soon upload a video of the ignition switch teardown, repair and rebuild)
-
Black wire with green marker would be an old original indicator wire
-
No it isn't.
-
Well it was on both my 750's
-
Left indicator is orange, right indicator is light blue. I suggest if everything works then give it the snip.
-
Couldn't be arsed to mention the orange and the blue looks green on my bikes :P
-
Didn't these have an indicator buzzer originally? I think some people took them out hence the spare connection.

Nothing worse than a colour blind painter and decorator. ;D
