I'm just in the process of rebuilding my CB400f... while the frame is away I'm sorting the loom. A quick question I'm upgrading to a reg/rec combined unit, my new one has two feed wires, white and black but the original rectifer has a green wire also... does anyone know if this can be ignored ?
Thank you

if you are using the RR24 combined unit,
the other was regulator ground/earth,so can be ignored

Ok great so the spare green is just an earth.. so I can tape it up?
I'm using a yamaha XS750 combined unit as I have a spare.. has exactly the same plug and 2 rectifier outputs just like the David Silver upgrade.

I'm using the Electrex World unit on my CB350F and the green wire can just be taped up out of the way.

The XS750 was notorious when it came out for the reg rec failing, so much so Yamaha modified it to two separate units--then a few years later back to a combined one
