Hi from Grimsby ,just acquired a nice barn find -  a 250G5 looking forward to getting it running and keeping it in the original condition  :D

Just purchased a  new battery and going to change the fuel, oil the bores and let see what happens

Hi and welcome ...you not too far from me... I am in Willerby Hull East Yorks.

I sold a G5 like that, same colour less than 2k miles about two months ago !

The parts manual download is on here in Dropbox and I have the Honda workshop manual and Haynes manual but not scanned them yet.

Carbs are a bit fiddly to strip as linked on an alloy plate so you have to take the whole assembly off. Mine ran really well after I cleaned the carbs and it had stood in a damp shed since 1986

Your chrome looks a bit nicer though. Guy I sold it to in the NE is doing a total restoration on it. He's already bought NOS genuine pipes for it from David Silver.
