Here’s picture of my F2 I owned in 1977,I think it’s a Rickman carrier ( the top box is )it doesn’t swivel up like the one Mick shows, didn’t that type go on the K3 model?

Thanks both for the pics.... Very helpful.

The one that swivelled up was actually made for the CB750F1 and F2, as otherwise you couldn't open the seat as the tailpiece got in the way. Even with the ability to swivel it out of the way I still took mine to the tip years ago, too much hassle removing the black plastic "wheels" and hanging on to them (invariably one of the bloody things would roll away if you dropped it) just to lift the seat to get my leggings or a spanner >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I can just open my seat with the rack fitted but it does foul slightly, i think the k3 seat would catch more as they are a bit bigger.

My mate had a K3 same time as my F2 in 1977,he had to faff around undoing side “ knobs” to lift his seat I remember making new ones for him out of brass

I’ve just chucked a load of racks in the skip....no-one ever seems to want them?
