Hi all. Newbie from Edinburgh here. I have a very slightly non standard 550F2 in a 73 K1 frame 😁 Joined as always looking for spares but more so for tech tips and info.

Hey Gordy, you found us. Welcome to the Forum. And tell the other members the truth about how 'slightly' not standard your bike is 😊😊😊😊😊

Hi again Julie, please be shocked I've worked out how to post 👍 cant put pics up yet to annoy the purists tho 😋😂

I think you need 5 posts to be able to post piccies.

Can I post "ditto" 4 further times? 😂
-
Yes.
It’s only there to stop the spammers.

You probably linked to an externally hosted image (rather than uploading an attachment)

You will find that the frame was made a lot later than 1973 ;)

Hows that trigger?

Ah distinct possibility Steve.

Only the number will relate to a 1973 bike. No one would buy a new bike and chop it ;)
The only part I can see that is from a CB500 Four 1973 is the rear hub :o

That's interesting Oddjob. Are the two kickstarts interchangeable?

Kickstart looks 500, not a 550 one as that hinged outwards as was huge in comparison.
Could be a 550 kick start off a early K but, it will work on a F engine ;)
