Post by: Gordy Crazyjambo on June 10, 2020, 05:47:25 PM
Hi all. Newbie from Edinburgh here. I have a very slightly non standard 550F2 in a 73 K1 frame 😁 Joined as always looking for spares but more so for tech tips and info.

You will find that the frame was made a lot later than 1973  ;)

Hows that trigger?

Only the number will relate to a 1973 bike. No one would buy a new bike and chop it  ;)
The only part I can see that is from a CB500 Four 1973 is the rear hub   :o

That's interesting Oddjob. Are the two kickstarts interchangeable?

Kickstart looks 500, not a 550 one as that hinged outwards as was huge in comparison.

Could be a 550 kick start off a early K but, it will work on a F engine  ;)
