Remember this this Julie?
Just a little paint over spill o correct and Matt lacquer to apply.
I’m thinking the original finish was satin polish and clear coat.
-
Well done Phil, that looks really good.
-
Be assured it looks much worse in the flesh.

Never mind, maybe keep your eyes open for one in tip top condition to buy at a later date. At least it does the job for now.
-
Absolutely. I’ll give it another go, though as I never get it right first time. Ain’t life like that?
On a side note…. 3 legs booked. Training commences in March ;D

Oh you lucky, lucky Man, how envious am I. I would ask you to smuggle me aboard in your ruck sack if I thought there was room.

It’s not without sacrifice, Julie. :'(

Rather you than me! My niece did the Clipper race a few years ago, legs from China all the way back to UK.
She loved doing it but 2 people died on other boats. 😟 We went over to Derry when they docked there and had a look around the boat. Very cramped but a great experience.

“Cramped” doesn’t do it justice. The pong. No washing for 5-6weeks.

Some photos from PSP Logistics 2016.
The last one is your bunk space. 😣

Lovely.

But i was assured that I’d get a single divan with posture springing and a daily hot towel shave and massage. ;D
I’ve been done…and not for the first time. 8)

In your dreams Phil 😁😁😁😁😁

Got to start the crowd funding and will be doing some extracurricular nighttime activity on Lendal Bridge ;) ;) ;)

Spot the difference ;D

Full marks. An easy one really, but I’ve lost the ‘before’ pic for the one on the left. I’m not happy with the refurbished one and will be trying again, but I was surprised what a a bit of ‘grease’ could achieve.

Decades ago these covers have been on offer for a while at a very low price. IIRC for less than € 10,-. Worldwide there must have been loads of them. I should have bought one, but... I had still mine. Then, later it came off en route, unnoticed ofcourse. It must still be lying around somewhere, hidden in the grass alongside some road. Nowadays these covers cost a fortune and I can't bring myself to buy one, just because I could have had it so cheap. I guess my hesitance to buy one now, is related to the 'fear of loss' syndrom, we humans all seem to suffer of.

Get a knackered one and apply elbow grease.

Apologies for the Millard Swiss knife. I’d used it for cleaning out the grooves. :-[

These clips go bad. At least they did in my case. For years I had a wine bottle cork between the cover and the left hand crash bar. Stopped the vibrations. I guess I must have lost the cork and then the cover trembled loose and freed it self.
