Hi to All,
As you may guess from the title the standard of youth ( suppleness and ability to cock one’s leg over the seat without problem ) has slowly been replaced by grey hair, eyesight that needs assistance and arthritis in hips knees and other lower parts causing one to wince a bit. I have owned and ridden all types of two wheeled machinery along with racing on four wheels and driving up to 44 Tonnes along the highways, byways and elsewhere causing others to get upset when I impede their progress 😀👍
So, I have owned a Honda 400/4 F2 since 1977, loved it so much I never got rid of her but time and lousy British weather have dictated that a complete strip down was necessary in order to return her to an acceptable (to me) condition. No doubt I will have to be put on her like jousting Knights of old with a block and tackle. My eyes have however been opened by the price of parts for classic bikes which seem to have been drawn out of a hat and times by ten ( Ouch ) but one will have to grin and bear these things I suppose.
Anyway I wish all the best to those who own ride and tinker with their classics

Welcome to our community - our average age I suspect is over 65!
FWIW by the time you have rebuilt your bike you will fully underrstand the term - money pit.

Start an account with Dave Silver, find a good freind in the USA and take out a second mortgage.
Do all these and everything gets easy(er)
Seriosly ast least the 400 has a good supply of parts.
CMSNL has good parts diagrams to get part numbers and again start an account(no need to buy anything) as they have a facility on there to tell you what other bikes use the same part.

Thanks for the welcome chaps and chapesses, I’m not PC nor am I Woke having no time for such guff, being a bit of a searcher for things I make a lot of use of the internet and have been made aware of David Silver. I also found Bertram’s Bike Bits and Classic Bikes Redditch both of whom do spares for our beloved Hondas and other classics. Having taken the carbs completely to bits does anyone know if you can still get the felt washers for the link arm at the top of the carb body allowing the needle jet to rise and fall👍😀

Junction 9 Bicester, just dodge all the out of town idiots going to Bicester Village who carve us locals up. Anything without an Oxfordshire number plate is treated as deadly and dangerous.
