Title: Foot rest 550f2
Post by: Laverdaroo on December 27, 2022, 11:59:31 AM
Morning all,

Need a replacement front right foot rest please if anybody has one?
I have the ‘whizzy, fold-up’ type footrest on the kickstart side and it’s that I’m trying to find if anybody has one?

Cheers for looking

After digging out the ofending item I cant tell if the brace that sits on the frame is also bent as well. Realistically, just the foot rest and brace, I have all the fastenings and sprung clip etc. It would be ace if you have Graham
it was bought last year and stuffed in a box, didnt even look! ::)

I think the only parts that are missing are, the two JIS screws that hold on the bottom plate to the rubber  ;)

In the book it shows two small M8 hex bolts, same as the 400. Do you use screws?

Thought I had one but I can only find the bolt on bit, I seem to recall I gave it to Graham a couple of years ago.

I've found a really scabby one on flebay but all in it's £27 and I only want the foot rest bit. It'll have to be reworked and then powder coated so its a dear fix.
The metal is quite bad where the tang is knocked off on mine and the metal was described as, well, ryhme's with 'white', by my mate who 'spits metal together' for me so a repair is a big ask. I'll keep looking, one willl turn up I shoud think. Bit of a sod, things have been going pretty smoothly over the last couple of days :D

I am sure i have one Roo, it was on my old 550. However it was very slightly out of shape somewhere as it did not sit square against the kickstart as it should. Yours for postage if you want it.
