Can someone help me out regarding the F2 head gasket. I E-mailed David Silver spares to say that the gasket set for the F2 and F1 were the same part number on their website but the F2 has oval fire rings and not round as the F1. The answer I got was that the F2 was no longer available and everyone fits the F1. Surely the F2 head gasket is so designed to take into account that it has larger valves. What do the F2 owners fit cos I can't find the correct gasket. Cruzinimage don't do it and Paul Miller Motorcycles in the USA don't list it. What to do ? Any advice would be appreciated.

I was luck enough to find a NOS F2 gasket, they come up on ebay every now and then, i have heard you can fit the F1 gasket, but it makes me wonder why Honda would have gone to the effort of making the oval one for the f2 if the round one was ok

Give Cycle exchange in the US a try. They do lots of tuning and aftermarket parts for SOHC 750's
They also supply gaskets of their own design

Hope this is of use

Cheers boys! Yup Mick, saw that gasket set on E-bay and again it lists it to suit an F2 but it has round fire rings and I have been on Cyclexchange site, same story. The head chambers are oval and it looks like the inlet valve would hit a round gasket but it must clear it because the cylinders are round. I am going to buy the standard gasket set from David silver and take it from there. Am also considering making a copper gasket.

Got mine in a full gasket set from Wemoto, think Athena made them
