Title: F1 Rear Wheel 'disaster'
Post by: r1_pete on January 18, 2013, 09:44:12 AM
I've not done much work with the CB in the last year or so, been busy re building the E Type's Bonnet.....

Decided I'd lace up the back wheel during the last few cold nights when disaster struck, one of the spoke holes in the rim pulled apart as I was tightening the spoke, I guess there must have been a hairline crack as I hadn't got anywhere near full tension on, anyway the hub is scrap now with 3 adjascent spoke holes ripped open.

Does anyone have an F1 rear hub for sale? know of one for sale, or of any other spoke hub from Honda or other manufacturer which can be made to fit?

Cheers.

Pete.

F1 or F2 as i they are different, also they only fit the 75/76 F1 and there are two different ones deppending on frame number.

42601-392-000 or 42601-392-010

Thanks Guys,

All I know of the bike is its an F1, with spoked wheels, it came in boxes of bits, and I'm not even sure its all one bike as there was a spoked rear and comstar front wheel, but the spoked rear did fit the swing arm as I was using it to build the wheel.

I'll drop that French lead an email, see if we can do anything.

Cheers.

Pete

Hi Pete . The F1 was spoked the F2s had comstar wheels . It's your lucky day mate cos I've got an F1 rear wheel complete with disc you can have cheap if you're prepared to take a trip down the M62 to Wigan . Let me know if you're interested . Regards Greg "H".
