When i bought this CB550F 1976 (US spec) it came with two rear brake levers, one flat cast type and a round chrome type. Can any one advise on which is the right one for this model. Cheers lads.

The picture in my F1 parts book, admitedly a UK version, shows the flat type

I don't have a kick start to test that, good old royal mail lost it in the post. That in fact makes sense, but the last CB500 i resorted didn't have the flat cast type. Is the kick start on the US spec different?. Does it swing out more.

My F lever is flat.
-
Yes Mr piglet, but is yours US spec ?
-
Why would they be different?

Why is the seat lock plate bolted on a US spec, but not on the English frame. Why do Honda do so many different spec's?

Take a chill pill.

Don't need no chill pil. Just which lever for the bike. And the vote is the cast flat type. Now not sure what bike the other one is from.
-
Trigger,
Flat I believe round is for the K3 like mine.
I made that mistake the other way around had it chromed as well.
-
Do you want to swap, because now iv'e got to have the flat cast one chromed. The round type is in good condition. I'll throw in a wing nut as well.Hahaha

Oddjob, the K3 lever is a different shape to the 500 but still tubular
