Thanks to trigger6969 I'm about to get my self set of o rings
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CB-550-K-Four-1977-FLOAT-CHAMBER-GASKET-SET-OF-4-/141078961668?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item20d8f61e04
Now, does any one know if they will fit in my 069A carbs?
I have 550F 1976 and the o rings are described as to fit K carbs.

THEY WON'T FIT you need the 500 or up to 76 k

Thank you,
I will go the route of taping orings and puling tape out once the bowl is in place, did it once before.
Tricky way of doing it but the bit I'm not looking forward to is... fitting carbs back, it is such a pain.
Can't imagine having modern bike with all the bits of plastic in the way of carbs!

That is a lot of money for some o'ring's. I have always got my o'rings from old hardware shops or pluming supplier. Not B&Qs.
-
Yea but viton rubber is supposed to be the dogs danglies
-
It must be the Irish in you. What is Dog Danglies???? Maybe a trade name for o'rings. :-X
-
Viton is the best/fuel resistant.

So are you saying that viton is better than an elastic band? :-\
