Title: Clip from the Cat & Fiddle
Post by: andy120t on August 22, 2014, 06:38:52 PM
I lived there near there in the Nineties and used to really enjoy riding the LC between Macclesfield and Buxton when it was quiet. Always plenty of tricky bits though and it needed treating with respect.  I drove that route a few years ago and was surprised at the level or signs / cameras / enforcement that had descended on it.

..but seeing a clip like this makes me realise that some people shouldn't be allowed out. Just glad he walked away from it, and he's pretty lucky too.

That is dangerous riding (not driving) and he was going too fast for the corner. People with cameras mounted on the bike or helmet do show off.

Its morons like that that have ruined it for all of use.
Don't totally agree with you trig I have a camera mounted in my truck after a head on that wasn't my fault and the insurance wouldn't payout.I have been toying with the idea of a camera on the bikes after far to many near misses.
I believe the camera in the truck has made me a better driver as it records my reg, speed and location.
But the above pro's also put me of using on on the bike as it's far to easy to find yourself the wrong side of the speed limit.

He posted the video on the internet? Darwin Award candidate, apart from the fact he survived, of course
