Yep agree with Bitsa on that, great quality work there mate.

That's brilliant work Martin, you don't seem to mind starting from a low point given the pictures of both this and the F1 you've started. It looks amazing.
From a local interest point of view do you get up to Newlands corner at all, I count that as my local bike hang out and see all sorts of interesting stuff people bring up there.
-
Wow Martin you done a fine job on that triumph, do you still own it?

I have never taken a bike up there, maybe in the Spring.

I rode one exactly like that years ago the only Triumph I can remember riding, very nice restoration.
-
Wouldn't want it to be fast with that tiny looking sls front brake:o
But great work anyway, really looking forward to how your F1 will look when it's done!

Very nice. It looks immaculate. I like old Triumphs (preferably without the 'skirt'/ bathtub).
I used to have a T100 and a T120R and will get another one sometime. Prices are getting silly though. ???

The bathtub has always confused me but maybe that's because its way before my time.
I bet Trig remembers riding one in the 60's ;)

I didnt like them either, but kinda grows on you and represents an important part of bike development.
Triumph produced to compete with the Scooters that were becoming more popular due to better weather protection.
Many owners ditched the bathtub sections, or rusted out, so now quite rare and original metal panels difficult to find and restorers resort to fibre glass.
The front mudguard is nicknamed a 'pigeon catcher' not so pretty, but good at preventing spray 8)
I offered £500 for it, but owner said that was too much.
I knew parts were worth more than that so gave £350 with agreement that if all there would give another £150 which is what I did.
