So, after almost 6 months and two broken exhaust valve seats guides, I'm looking for a new engineering shop who can do it...
Is it really difficult to do? I thought, you need press and bloody push old one out and then squeeze new one in after freezing it.
I didn't get charged for work, and they did honed cylinder block but I rather have job done.
Bloody boooring.
Any one can recommend a place to do this job around London preferably North London?
Thanks

Valve seats? or valve guides?
The valve guides go in by heating the head and freezing the guides, then a air hammer. Valve seats, well that is a secret.

Bomber,
Google 'Stotfold Engineering' (Biggleswade). Terry Ives is the man... a down to earth & very approachable chap. Restored a 400F engine of mine 2 years ago... very happy.
Cheers,
Simon.

The problem with valve guide these days is they are crap metal (even the ones that come in Honda Bags). I am finding that the quality is that bad that they distort when putting them in. I prefer to make my own so that i get a good match to the valve, a bit like matching a piston when doing a re-bore.

How much? That is a stupid price as you can use a K-liner.

Thank you Lobo for recommendation, I will see what's gonna happen, I found a nice old gent locally who will try to do it for me.
I dont know if it is materials or what, but not impressed with the way previous engineer dealt with the whole situation.
I'm over it now, just want to ride.
Thank you guys for all info, I will have my CB on the road this year... I hope.
