Does anybody out there know how to set the float height on CB750 F2 SOHC carbs from 1977? these are the last revision ones with the accelerator pump. Also which way up do the floats go? silly question I know but I cannot find any info on them at all and I think mine are upside down. pic attached showing the fuel level in one carb, seems very high and its coming back out of the airbox and the drain tube.

Hi there,
I'm sitting here with my CB750F2 manual in front of me, says the float height should be 14.5 mm for the F model. The manual is very good and only cost

Thanks for help, do you know where the 14.5mm is measured?

Hi John, not done this myself yet either but i assume measurement is taken
from carb body to bottom of float (flat side) central to the float if you know
what i mean. for the older carbs there seems to be an issue whether to measure from top of lip or gasket surface, but as the F2 carbs don't have this lip, it must be from gasket surface?
i know these aren't your carbs but this might help clarify the matter-

as i said before, not done this yet so if anyone knows better please explain, as this is how i intended to do mine,

Ed.
