Title: CB350F Swing arm bushes.

Okay that's enough struggling, time to ask. I am trying to remove the worn out bushes from a CB350F swing arm. Does anybody know an easy way of doing this as they are well stuck. Cheers all.

There is a thread somewhere that i posted a picture on how to do this but, i can't find the bugger. Think it was Mr T that was asking on how is it done.

Hi Roy,

Strangely enough I was doing the very same job yesterday afternoon. I used a bit of heat, a vice and a couple of sockets on the shock bushes. Haven't attempted the swing arm ones yet as they look to be in pretty good condition.

Hi Tim. The shock bushes a really easy. Two sockets and some thread bar and out they come (bit of a soak with PlusGas helps). Not sure how to get the swing arm bushes out. The page I mentioned above is really for the 400 four, they are plastic and real easy to cut out. Ours in the 350 are steel (or something similar), and mine are well worn and really stuck in. Must be a technique for removing them, somebody will know.

By the way, got some spare fork shrouds if you want them. Olive green ones, but they need painting anyway. Were your forks really rusty behind the headlamp ears?

Yeah forks nice and rusty behind the fork ears and shrouds. To be expected considering the age of the bike.

I'll get back to you on the shrouds as I'm getting some forks off James and I'm not sure if they come with shrouds.

Also, Honda were a bit naughty on the early 750's by only chroming the part that the fork seal contacted and leaving the bit under the fork ears unchromed, could be the sane with the 350's:o

Yep I do believe mine are unchromed behind the headlight ears. Not going to affect anything though will just clean it off. The chromed parts are in great nick. Will cover it in grease before I fit the ears. Cheap buggers.

Remember that the yokes rely on friction within the clamps to secure the fork legs in place. Not so sure grease would be such a good idea.

No. I don't think the grease thing is a good idea either when I actually think about it. Geez hair brained schemes eh.

I shall prevail with the swing arm bushes even though they are steel (could be iron) and will take some sawing through. Do the phosphor bronze bushes for the 400F fit the 350F.
