Brilliant, MrT. Will it all be finished in time for this season?

Nice wheel but, your disc bolts need to be in the other way round or the end of the bolt will catch on the speedo drive unit ;)

Dammit! Well, I've eliminated the speedo, so shouldn't matter too much.

Unfortunately no, far too much to go on a shoestring budget. Next I assemble a roller and it goes off to have the exhaust built, but only booked in for August. Will need the time to save - stainless exhaust ain't cheap!

Told you you could do it mate. Satsfying ain't it

Looks great MrT. Just looking at getting my 350 wheels done. May have a go myself after seeing your thread. How difficult was it to do really.

Not that difficult at all really, just took some time to get things round and true. I'd have a go at it.

Cheers Bryan. Have kept your number, will give you a ring when I'm ready to do the wheels. Cheers Roy.

Great work Mr T - how long did it take you to lace and true each wheel?
-
Lacing the first took me a bit over an hour, the second only took about 30 minutes. Trueing was the tricky bit. The front wheel went in first and only needed minimal adjustment. I was being super cautious with it though and got it within 0.2mm after about an hour. Rear wheel was trickier. Spent an hour on it one evening and every time I seemed to get one area sorted it would mess up another. I was getting frustrated so left it until the next day. With a clear head I got it to within 0.3mm within half an hour or so. I'm a bit worried about tension, but each spoke has the same 'pinging' tone, so will try it and see!

Nice work - I've got a set of DID rims on the way from David at SAISEI so BryanJ I'll probably be calling you to understand your 'method'...thanks for sharing Mr T and Bryan

No problem, you got the number and times available?

On the lacing I just took loads of pictures before dismantling the old ones.
