Title: Steering lock

Can anyone advise on removal and replace new  steering lock  ,ie - do l drill existing rivet by dremmel / drill out etc ?Also I'm not clear the procedure of fitting lock by means of the rivet ...

Rivet pulls out, twisting it helps, and it taps in. If you don't have the key you'll need to drill out the lock barrel.

Many Thanks Totty , I wasn't quite sure how the rivet was fitted, big clout with hammer  eh .. Cheers ..

If you haven't already got a replacement lock yet I got mine from here:

Drilling out is a fairly simple operation, there are probably threads on here that cover it.
Fitting instructions are available on request from the eBay seller. They don't tell you much that you can't find elsewhere
but I seem to remember something about having to turn the lock once the middle is drilled out to free a locating pin.
